The Avalanche is driven by standard mechanical features like rear-wheel drive (four-wheel drive is optional), a six-seed automatic transmission, and a V8 engine that produces 320 hp and 335 lbs-ft of torque. To help prepare you for any towing you have to do, the Avalanche comes with trailering equipment such as a hitch platform, a 7-wire harness, a 7-way sealed connector, and a 2-inch trailering receiver.
Several features add to the unique look of this vehicle, such as heated mirrors, Solar-Ray glass, a foldable midgate, and halogen composite headlights with a flash-to-pass feature.
Six passengers will be able to sit inside the Avalanche and enjoy a 6-speaker audio system with XM Satellite Radio, two power outlets, and dual-zone climate control. Additionally, the driver and passengers will be protected by safety equipment like the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, head curtain side-impact airbags, and dual-stage frontal airbags.
